Synopsis
Obsolete household appliances and waste of all kinds are sent to the planet Prout, Earth's dumping ground. Bean and Spaghet, two little emergency workers from this strange planet, go on an emergency mission to save one of their friends who has been crushed by debris falling from the sky.
Director's BIO
Marc-Henri Wajnberg is a screenwriter, director, actor, and producer. His productions are eclectic: 1,200 eight-second shorts, 1,000 eleven-second shorts, 40 twenty-second shorts, and 365 fifty-second shorts. In total, he has produced 2,700 very short films, including the famous Claps collection, which has been broadcast internationally. His short film Le Réveil, starring Jean-Claude Dreyfus, won an award at Cannes and received 22 awards worldwide. He has directed and produced numerous documentaries, including Oscar Niemeyer, un architecte engagé dans le siècle, which won awards at several international festivals. He co-produced Lars Von Trier's film The Five Obstructions and directed three feature films: Just Friends (which represented Belgium at the Oscars), Kinshasa Kids (selected for more than 70 festivals including Venice, Toronto, Busan, New York, etc.) and, in 2022, I am Chance (feature-length documentary, selected for 38 festivals and awarded 13 times). He teaches film in San Antonio de Los Banos, Cuba (EICTV), Brussels (ERG), and Kinshasa (French Cultural Center). He is a member of the Union of French-Speaking Film Producers (UPFF) in Belgium. Most recently, he produced and directed PROUT, a stop-motion animated short film, which he is developing into a series.
